Definitions of gender, marriage, and family are evolving almost daily. Surveys of younger generations show much greater acceptance of unbiblical norms. Part of the problem is that relatively few people know and understand what the Bible says, from cover to cover, about these foundational aspects of society. Read what the Bible has to say about the family from this biblical counseling expert.

5 of 5 Recommended reading for every young couple September 20, 2019
Reviewer: Jerald Lowry from Mt. Pleasant, PA United States
This is a book which every couple starting a new family should read, particularly husbands and fathers.  I wish that I had had this book when we started our family; it certainly pointed out to me my many deficiencies in raising our own family.  Certainly every ordained officer should read this book in preparation for dealing with family problems and concerns.  I intend to purchase additional copies of the book to give to my grandchildren who are now starting families.  I heartily recommend this book.

5 of 5 Highly Recommended for Those Committed to Informal August 31, 2019
Reviewer: Fides Ex Auditu
Perhaps the greatest commendation for this book is Dr. Scipione’s commitment to the Bible as his primary and authoritative source which is made evident by the immersion of this work (and his other works) in the Word. Because of these commitments and the marinating of Scipione’s book in God’s Word, I find this book highly useful for me in my ministry as a hospital chaplain in a highly pluralistic, relativistic, humanistic, polytheistic, and autonomy-centric federal institution.

Dr. Scipione’s book is “ground-up.” In other words, his book grows from a logical starting point to rational end points, i.e. “if this, then this.” That is, he starts with basic presuppositions and builds upon those so that his arguments end up as one might anticipate given his starting point. I imagine his book as the planted seed of a flower being filmed, using time-lapse photography, which erupts from the ground spreading into full-flower.

I highly recommend this book without reservation.

5 of 5 Excellent Read August 28, 2019
Reviewer: Aaron Morgan from lake Wylie, SC United States
One of the best books on the family I have ever read. As a pastor, this was/is an excellent resource and outline to the family. Great for the SS teacher, essential for the father and husband, and a vital book for the church.
